GRADE 5 - D.A.R.E. PROGRAM

All 5th graders will be starting DARE with Officer Jessica the week of January 12th. DARE will be held once a week for all 5th graders.

DARE is a 10 week program that teaches students good decision-making skills and helps them lead safe and healthy lives. The curriculum teaches the foundational skills that youth need to be safe, healthy, and responsible in leading drug-free lives.
 

Absences

Absences should be called into the office at (920) 532-5553 by 8:30AM or parents will receive an automated phone call regarding their absent child. Please call the office if you have a late day message for your child. Please do not call or email the teachers directly as they are not always able to check their email or listen to voice messages until after school.

If your child will be missing one or more days of school due to a pre-arranged absence, please have your child pick up an absence form in the office.

The new year is filled with exciting opportunities for our music students to shine! Please mark your calendars for these upcoming 2026 performances and celebrations of student talent.

Saturday, January 24, 2026 – NEC Honors Band & Choir
All day (Appleton Xavier High School)
A select group of middle school band and choir students, selected for their outstanding musical achievement, will participate in the NEC Honors Band & Choir Festival. Be on the lookout for more information from Mr. Baker and Mrs. McCully as the event approaches. Congratulations to all who were selected!

Friday, January 30, 2026 – Middle School Pep Band Night
5:30–7:00 PM (WHS Band Room)
Our 7th and 8th Grade Band students will bring energy and school pride to the basketball game for Pep Band Night! Students are encouraged to show their Tiger spirit by wearing Wrightstown colors. Come enjoy an evening of music, teamwork, and community support.

Monday, February 23, 2026 – 5th & 6th Grade Showcase Concert
5:30 PM Call Time (WHS Band and Choir Rooms) | 6:00 PM Performance (WHS Auditorium)
Our youngest musicians in band and choir will take the stage for the 5th and 6th Grade Showcase Concert. Students in 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, and 5th and 6th Grade Choir are required to attend and should arrive in black and white concert attire. This performance is a wonderful celebration of their hard work and musical growth.

We look forward to seeing you at these events and celebrating the dedication of our student musicians!

8th Grade Tiger Talks

Attention 8th Grade Parents:

8th Grade Tiger Talks will be taking place during the month of January 2026 to March 2026. Families will be able to sign up for these meetings Face-to-Face, Google Hangout (Virtual) or phone conference through this link Tiger Talk Sign Up.

The purpose of Tiger Talks are for students and families to have open conversations about high school and to allow WMS students to explore and discuss some of their achievements, abilities and career interests with their parents/guardians. At your students Tiger Talk we will be discussing High School Transition and your student will be sharing the careers they have explored and their learning styles.

Battle of the Books

The Battle is heating up!!! Battle of the Books meetings for this month are on January 6th and 20th. The mini battles will begin to determine which teams will move on the State Battle. Make sure to keep reading those books!!!
 

Food Service Information

  • Be make sure you are checking your child's lunch balance on a regular basis. Lunch payments can be paid online.
  • Head over to the Wrightstown District website and check our breakfast and lunch menu items.
